Pekka Rinne made 18 saves for the Nashville Predators in a 4-0 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena on Monday.
“Great game. All in all as a team, it was a great team win,” Rinne said. “Obviously defensively we played a great game, they only had 18 shots. I thought early on in the game, first and second period, they have a dangerous team but in the third period we played really solid and defended really well and were able to create more opportunities for ourselves.”
Mattias Ekholm, Colton Sissons and Kevin Fiala each had a goal and an assist, and P.K. Subban scored for Nashville (26-15-3), which is 4-0-1 in its past five games after going 0-5-1 in the previous six.
Asked Babcock re: Nylander's game right now."I thought that line in the first two periods was not bad. He's gotta get better. All the details, all the compete, all that stuff. Just gotta keep getting better. He will, the more he plays but the urgency level has to be there."#Leafs
