Arthur Staple via twitter: Lubomir Visnovsky has filed a grievance to void his trade to the Islanders, claiming that his no-trade clause is still valid. The Ducks will oppose it in arbitration, which no date has been set yet. If Visnovsky wins the grievance, he’ll go back to being Ducks property. If the Ducks win, the trade with the Islanders stands. Visnovsky had a no-trade 2010, but did not invoke when he was dealt from the Oilers to the Ducks. He may be too late to invoke the no-trade now. No official comments from the Islanders yet, but they are not happy.

Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch: Trade talks involving Rick Nash are ongoing, but not that productive. If Weber ends up with the Flyers, the Rangers may step up. Though the Rangers could turn to a Bobby Ryan trade or look to sign Shane Doan. The Blue Jackets have talked to the Kings about Jonathan Bernier. They might have to send the Kings 2013 1st round pick back to the Kings to get him. The Blue Jackets are close to a deal with Ryan Murray.
Larry Brooks of the NY Post: If the Flyers get Weber, the Rangers need to get Rick Nash increases. It doesn’t mean that GM Geln Sather would yield to Howson’s demand of including Derek Stepan. Shane Doan toured the Rangers practice facility on Friday. The Rangers are believed to the favorite in landing Doan if he leaves Phoenix. It’s on Sather’s blueprint to land both Doan and Nash.
