Aho scored a power-play goal on a one-timer at the top of the right circle off a pass from Seth Jarvis to make it 3-1 at 7:58.

“Everyone wants to feel good about their game going into the [playoffs],” Hurricanes captain Jordan Staal said. “So we will learn from this and make sure we’re sharper next time. And when it matters, everyone will be ready to go.”

Aho’s goal came in the final seconds of a four-minute power play that included a strong blocker save by Woll on a one-timer by Jack Roslovic.

“We had some great blocks, and we almost got the kill off, but we did a pretty good job for most of that kill,” Woll said. “It’s awesome to see all the guys buying in, especially this time of the year. I thought we did a good job of eliminating the high-quality chances.”

Domi gathered the rebound of his own shot attempt and set up John Tavares in the slot to extend the lead to 4-1 at 15:43.
