John Tavares and Morgan Rielly each had a goal and an assist for the Toronto Maple Leafs in a 4-1 win against the Ottawa Senators at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on Saturday in the final preseason game for each team.
Nick Ritchie and Pierre Engvall scored for Toronto, which will host the Montreal Canadiens for its regular-season opener Wednesday. Jack Campbell made 18 saves.
Alex Formenton scored for Ottawa, which opens the season against Toronto at home Thursday. Matt Murray allowed three goals on 16 shots, and Anton Forsberg made 14 saves in relief.
