Michael Amadio scored the tiebreaking goal late in the third period, and the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Ottawa Senators 3-1 in a preseason game at Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa on Monday.
After Amadio made it 2-1 with 1:25 remaining, Pierre Engvall scored his second goal of the game into an empty net with one second left for the 3-1 final.
Kirill Semyonov had two assists, and Jack Campbell made 26 saves for the Maple Leafs.
Connor Brown scored, and Matt Murray made 24 saves for the Senators.
