ICE BREAKERS: #Yotes Darcy Kuemper emerges as primary target for #Leafs and #Avs. Plus more on the goalie market, Giordano, Suter, Weber and Eichel.https://t.co/URARvkY5Xu

Arizona Coyotes goaltender Darcy Kuemper has emerged as a primary target for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Colorado Avalanche. Both teams remain in contact and conversation with their pending free agents in Frederik Andersen and Philipp Grubauer, respectively, but trade talks have been ongoing with Arizona as the Avs and Leafs consider the goaltending market at-large. The Seattle Kraken are also believed to have interest in Kuemper.
Other goaltenders potentially on the Maple Leafs’ list: pending UFAs @Linus Ullmark, Petr Mrazek, Chris Driedger, Jaroslav Halak and trade targets Joonas Korpisalo and Marc-Andre Fleury, to name an inconclusive few. There are many options for Toronto, including sticking with Andersen, which has not been ruled out.
Another young goaltender potentially available: Alexandar Georgiev. Teams who have inquired with new Rangers GM Chris Drury believe the ask to be a first-round pick as part of any trade opportunity on Georgiev, who will still be under team control as an RFA once the final year of his deal ($2.425 million) expires next summer. There is no urgency or rush for the Rangers. It’s a luxury move for Drury as Igor Shesterkin is exempt from the Expansion Draft.
Hyman to test waters, Landeskog on Leafs radar https://t.co/J6ZCV666VS

If Alex Kerfoot's $3.5 million is off the books and Gabe Landeskog doesn't have a deal in Colorado, could we see the Buds pursue the Avs captain? 👀@TheFourthPeriod joined #SNTonight with @AndyMc81 & @RusicSN590 to discuss!#LeafsForever | #NHL pic.twitter.com/upD5WSrdSH

#Leafs and Zach Bogosian have talked, but as of right now, indications are that he will go to the open market. Like all of these things, that could change.

In chatting with front offices around the league the last 24-48 hours, one word to sum up what the Kraken are still asking for as payment in side deals to navigate the expansion draft: ``Exorbitant.''
But I mean, there's still time before Saturday's protection list deadline...— Pierre LeBrun (@PierreVLeBrun) July 14, 2021
Subject to change, of course, but all signs pointing to pending UFA Zach Hyman heading to market July 28. Sizeable gap in positions with Leafs at the moment. Which was the expectation given his market value and Leafs' cap situation.@TSNHockey @TheAthletic

Told the #GoAvsGo have made three formal offers to Gabriel Landeskog since the end of last season (19-20). 4, 5, and 8 year offers with the last offer coming in just above the 8 yr. $41 ($5.125) contract given to Oilers Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. The 4 and 5 yr offers came in higher.

UPDATE – 4:03PM
The Star: has learned at least three NHL teams have made SOLID offers on Zach Hyman’s services since the Maple Leafs granted the pending unrestricted free agent the right to talk with other teams.
Considerable interest in Hyman league wide. Some teams hoping to get the jump early, some need to wait until after expansion draft...cap teams willing to move pieces. Leafs control process until the 28th, but trade allows Hyman the potential of a maximum 8 year deal elsewhere. https://t.co/G7pJqILA3B

For those wondering, Frederik Andersen's camp not given permission by the Leafs at this stage to speak to other teams. Read into that what you will.

More Than 10 Offer Pour in for Hyman
LINK: Hyman is in talks with over 10 teams and has legitimate interest from the Edmonton Oilers, St Louis Blues Calgary Flames, Seattle Kraken, Vancouver Canucks, Detroit Red Wings, Los Angles Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins and Chicago Blackhawks.
St. Louis among those with legit interest in potential free agent Zach Hyman…lots of interest from a number of teams in Canada as well. Edmonton, Vancouver, Calgary. I do believe Seattle could become a player as well. #stlblues #Cofred #Canucks #Oilers #Seakraken #Leafsforever
